Where would be good to live if working in Haidian? (Beijing)

Hi, I'm moving from Shanghai to Beijing in a month - I've been in Shanghai for about a year and a half. I'll be working in Beijing's Haidian district, near Shangdi metro station. I suppose it would be great to find accommodation in an expat-friendly place not too far from some nightlife/nice beer and so on, but would also love to avoid having an hour's commute. Not sure if that is possible, lol. Perhaps I've got too used to my short commute in Shanghai.

Any advice would be welcomed. Looking forward to coming up. I have visited once before though.
Oh, and my budget is about Protected content a month for accommodation, if that changes anything. Will probably look to find a room in a shared flat.
