A day in Bkerzay (Beirut)

Dear Fellows,

Bkerzay is a conservation project in the Chouf mountain near the village of Baakline, a lovely land covered with olive groves, lush woods and a wildlife rich with an array of old trees and a variety of endangered flora indigenous to Lebanon.

Its aim is to promote local products such as soaps, oils, herbs, honey, aromatic essences and other organic products of Chouf Terroirs. It also offers beautifully crafted artistic pottery and the chance to learn the craft.

In doing so, Bkerzay provides an opportunity for local villagers to work in their environment, to revive their many skills, revitalize the village, and conserve the beauty of their surroundings.

It is an especially idyllic setting for those seeking inspiration, creativity and rejuvenation.

Join us in exploring the many facets of Bkerzay. Come enjoy a traditional brunch, hike on the lovely trails and discover our locally crafted pottery collection, or just enjoy the beauty of Bkerzay.
