In town for a few days. (Beirut)

I there, after many years I am finally planning my first trip to Beirut. I have no idea what to expect apart from probably gaining a couple of kilos over along week end thanks to the great food...
...who is around and wishes to get together for coffee, drinks or lunch or has night life suggestions please raise your hand :-)
I arrive thursday night very, very late and a late night venue into early morning on friday is very interesting for me.
