XIIIth INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY THEATRE FESTIVAL (Beirut)

Next weeks theater festival starts at LAU. I will try to attend as many plays as possible - and it would be a pleasure if anyone would want to join :)

The Department of Communication Arts organizes annually the International University Theatre Festival on LAU Beirut campus. The festival aims at providing an opportunity for communication and performing arts students to participate and share ideas and experiences related to theater production and in the process create a unique blend of art and culture.

This year’s festival will take place from the 22nd to the 28th of July, Protected content which several plays and concerts will be presented along with theatre workshops, presentations and talks with professionals from Lebanon and other countries. Location: Gulbenkian and Irwin Theatres, outdoors and closed halls. Time: Every day between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Admission is free.

The festival hosts around Protected content arts students with their instructors from different styles and schools of theatre, united by their desire to enrich their experiences and enjoy artistic encounters. This year, the festival hosts university theatre productions from Belgium, The Netherlands, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Kuwait and Syria, in addition to Lebanese universities.
