In Serbia we are looking for places where wanderers will be able to stay overnight for a fair (read cheap) price, like a room in a private house, ho(s)tels/pensions with a special offer etc.
Especially at the districts: Sumadija; Podunavlje; Pomoravlje; Zajecar, Nisava and Pirot, but also other places can be of interest.
The wanderers are already happy with a bed and shower and often these stays lead to many nice evenings stories, while bringing in some extra money.
When you know of people in one of these areas and who may be willing to have someone stay on occasion, we would be more than happy to receive some more information by contacting me through here. I will bring them in contact with the organisers of the walking events.
Thank you in advance.
Some more info on Sultans Trail:
The Sultans Trail is a long-distance footpath from Vienna to Istanbul. It is 2,200 kilometers (1,400 mi) long.
In contrast to its past the Sultan's Trail nowadays forms a path of peace, a meeting place for people of all faiths and cultures. The trail starts at St. Stephen's Cathedral in the center of Vienna; the bells of this church are made from the melted iron of Ottoman cannons. It ends at the tomb of the Sultan in Istanbul.
The Sultans Trail is developed by volunteers from the Netherlands-based NGO Sultans Trail - A European Cultural Route.
