Introduction of ticketed events (Belgrade)

Dear InterNations Members,

As this month we have our first ticketed event in Belgrade, we would like to explain why InterNations now requires a cover charge for the events in Belgrade. Our events in Belgrade have grown substantially over the past few years. This makes the organization a much bigger challenge for our Ambassadors. As volunteers, our Ambassadors are happy to find special venues for you and organize events which give our members the chance to physically get together in a nice and inviting atmosphere. The cover charge at the events partially goes to the locations, who provide us one welcome drink and who ask for a guaranteed minimum consumption or rent for the evening. The rest helps InterNations maintain the platform and develop new features, but also helps the Ambassadors cover the costs incurred while organizing the events. The cover charge for the official InterNatons events is no exception in Belgrade, but a standard we have already introduced in many other communities all around the world.
