Health Insurance (Berlin)

Now we are in the thick of it. My wife and I are now up against the 'Berlin Wall' and a complete 'Catch-22' when it comes to healthcare. We have become residents of Berlin but MUST have insurance to live here. And it appears that now we are being told that this will cost us something like Euro Protected content month.

We are both artists; she being a Lonely Planet author and myself being a photographer for many international publications. And a writer as well. My wife has dual German/US citizenship and I have dual US/Irish citizenship.

This is a complicated situation, to be sure. But any advice or referrals to experts in this field of expat medical care will be HUGELY appreciated. And rewarded with kindness and amazing dinners.
