Me too...that's why we organize Beat Street: Berlin's only monthly poetry reading in English. It takes place every fourth Friday of the month at the Coffee Karma in F'hain.

In August, guest curator Cathy Hales brings Alistair Noon, MC Jabber, and Richard Toovey along with her for our very first ever guest curated show. The musical guest is American singer-songwriter Ryan T. Jacobs.

Also: got Halloween plans? No? What's that? Berlin doesn't know about how Halloween rolls? Agreed. Instead of staying home and watching Boris Karloff videos and eating candy corn til you puke, come to A Nightmare on Beat Street. We will feature poets reading works by poets from beyond the grave: Charles Bukowski, Anne Sexton, Edgar Allan Poe, Jack Kerouac, and others. Also, we will have music with the always scary old time band, The Cowboy Killers.

Sure to scare the verbs outta ya!

See you at the show!
