On Sunday August 5th the Leopoldplatz in the Berlin Wedding Kiez will experience this years’ fourth and pre-last edition of the charming Weddingmarkt, an open air vendor showcase of the districts’ art and design scene. Visitors can spend their relaxing Sunday afternoon exploring an extensive variety of handmade products, while enjoying delicious food and live music, as the kids participate in a theatre play. Over 70 stands represent the high-quality diversity of the lively Wedding district. Artisans, designers and artists show their works, from illustrations to paintings, ceramics, fashion and jewellery and so much more.
The market lineup also shows an exiting side program, which offers visitors a unique experience in taking pictures with a ‘Camera Minutera’, an opportunity to meet the actors of the Prime Time Theatre, experience live music in front of the beautiful Alte Nazareth church, be portrayed by a cartoonist and have their hands decorated with Henna paint.
The free open air Weddingmarkt offers something for everyone, and for this a special children event has been added to the program: the actors of the Galli Theater will present a participation theatre for children, offering them an experience of a lifetime... who knows what undiscovered talent will be revealed.
With all the inspiration and activity of the sparkling Weddingmarkt happening, it goes without saying that the visitors will also be pampered with a variety of delicious street food: coffee, ice cream, Korean specialties, burgers and Weddings’ best pancakes.
The admission for the Weddingmarkt is free, which means that you have no excuse to explore and enjoy the fine art, design, entertainment and culinary diversity that the district has to offer.
