Car Insurance (Birmingham)

Hello everybody, i recently moved to the uk from the netherands and I bought a car in the uk. I am looking for a normal car insurance, normal priced, so far the quotes have been rediculous. Please can anybody advise me/recommend me a cheap insurance for my car?I have been driving for already 18 years without accidents, however no uk history of that.
