Living Cost in and around Birmingham

Hi All,
I am currently looking at relocating to the UK from Australia. Birmingham is a location we have highlight as a place of interest.

I am hoping to get a better understanding of cost of living in and around that area.

We are a 4 person family, (Two adults, two children under 2).

I am needing to know how much people in similar situations need to live comfortably so I know what kind of salary range I will need. Any help I can get would be fantastic.
