Seeking American friends around Bochum

Hello everyone,

I've lived in Bochum since January Protected content have rarely come across another American in my area. It would be nice to make some American friends that live around here (Bochum, Essen, Dortmund, Mülheim a.d. Ruhr, Duisburg...)

A bit about me: I'm a pretty laid-back guy. I'm interested in visiting old churches and castles, going for coffee and just talking, going to museums, exploring the history and sights of Germany, etc. I'm not a big sports fan so that doesn't interest me too much, more so into history, languages, cultures, etc. I'm married, an accountant, work in Duisburg, live in Bochum. I'm 32 and come from Michigan. I've made some German friends during my time over here but really wish I had some American friends to hang out with. It seems that most Americans live either in München, Berlin or Köln - a bit far for me to travel :)
