Bilingual professional seeking job search advice (Bogotá)
I am a young professional with a B.A in English and a couple of years experience administrating educational programming to at-risk youth with U.S non-profits. Alongside my English studies, I specialized in Community and International Development, the field that influenced my moving to South America (Chile, Argentina, Colombia) and my desire to further develop skills relative to the advancement of human rights.
I have spent December familiarizing myself with the excellent work (international and national) being done for the protection of human rights, as well as the "road-blocks" that threaten the efficacy of human rights campaigns.
I'm wondering: do any of you who frequent this site have experience in international public service, or with local non-profit or government agencies who work in development? I would be so appreciative of any advice out there regarding agencies in Bogota or career trajectories in sustainable international development.
