CANADA DAY - Hockey Game in Usaquen - June 11th (Bogotá)

The Canadian Embassy Hockey team, in partnership with the Embassy of Canada in Colombia, would like to invite all Canadians living in Bogota, alumni of Canadian schools, or friends of Canada, to participate in, and spectate one of our weekly hockey games in Parque Usaquen. This will be a chance to have an early celebration of Canada Day as well!

With the partnership of the Embassy, we are hoping to move forward in creating stronger Canadian community in Colombia, and especially in Bogota, so we hope to see you there!

Let us know if you can come, and if you would like to play or just watch. Once we have enough players, we invite everyone else to cheer on their favorite team, and join us afterwards at the Irish Pub for a cold beer!

This will hopefully be the first of many Canadian community events, so please send in your information even if you cannot participate, so that you can stay
informed of upcoming get-togethers!

What to bring: Comfortable clothes (if playing) and running shoes (tenis o deportivos)
This is just classic street hockey, and we provide all the equipment, including nets, goalie equipment, shin pads, sticks, balls, and eye protection. We do NOT play with roller-blades/in-line, just in running shoes. We will generally play for an hour, or until everyone is too tired!

Please note that if you don't want to be involved in this Canadian-focused event, we would still love to have people email the above address if they are interested in playing street hockey on a regular basis!
