Christmas in Bogota (Bogotá)

Dear Internations Bogota,

I will be visiting Bogota over the Christmas period and am looking for ideas and suggestions of what to do during the trip. As this is my first time in Colombia, and knowing that Christmas everywhere in the world can be a strange time to travel, I have no idea what to expect! Here in Rio life goes on pretty much as normal but if I should be prepared for the city to be closed during the holiday I would appreciate the heads up.
