Info on living conditions in Columbia / Bogota (Bogotá)

Dear Bogota forum readers!

I am exploring a job opportunity in Colombia and me and my wife would like to get info on the living conditions in Columbia/Bogota. Therefore I would like to get in touch with a family with small kids and learn all about the difficulties / opportunities of moving. In general I would like to ask some questions regarding the living conditions, security, schools etc via mail.
