Moving pet from Bogota to Chicago (Bogotá)

Does any one have any experience or advice regarding moving a dog from Bogota to Chicago. My husband and I will be moving in September and we are having difficulty finding an affordable way to move our 8 month old labrador. Before we got the dog we saw prices around $ Protected content now we're being quoted upwards of $3000. Any advice about transport options would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
