Permanent resident visa loses validity (Bogotá)

Many foreign residents living in Colombia still do not know that this year permanent resident visas (i.e. resident visas issued before 24 June Protected content lose validity (see article 75 of Decree Protected content Protected content .

Any foreign resident who is in possession of such visa has to apply for a new RE-visa which validity is limited to five years.

After being granted such visa the issuance of a new cédula de extranjería has to be requested, at the latest by 24 June Protected content .
