planning to move to Colombia!! (Bogotá)

Hello everybody,
I am a new member of the forum and would really appreciate if you could help me with some basic information.
I am from Greece and currently leaving in Spain.I am thinking of moving to Colombia so I am trying to do some research about cost and conditions of living.
I am a chemist so I am wondering how easy it is to find a job in this field and what the salary would be for this kind of job. What about the basic expenses?Cost of renting a house in Bogota or another big city in Colombia,like Cali? What about crime in Bogota?Is it a safe city to live in?
I would be very happy if anybody could share with me his experience and give me any information that could be helpfull!
