Safe Courtryside Town To Live In (Bogotá)

I'm looking for a high elevation countryside town in Columbia to live for a few months. Is there such a beautiful place with nature and a safe environment for an ex-pat with a Colombian girlfriend to live in peace and relaxation. High elevation because I like the climate of Bogota, but not the big city environment. Would appreciate some recommendations. Thank you in advance.
