Shipping/Package delivery from USA to Colombia (Bogotá)

Hi Everyone,

In the next few weeks I need a package shipped from Atlanta in the US to Colombia. Has anyone had experience doing this?

From preliminary research my folks have done, it looks crazy expensive but I need to get this done. At the very least I need some documents sent to me and I thought that if I am sending documents.. a few items wouldn't hurt (such as the rare or very expensive size 12.5/13 shoes!). What service would you recommend? Are there problems losing packages at customs?
