Volunteer Opportunities for English Speakers (Bogotá)

There is a need of volunteer English speakers who are willing to work with students from all ages.

The location is in Sopo, about an hour journey from Bogota.

The days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with varying time schedules. There are two teachers on staff who facilitate the majority of the lesson, and the volunteers arrive to create an immersion environment, giving the students and opportunity to practice their spoken english.

There are morning sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the public schools of the municipality to prepare the graduating class for the ICFES english portion. The commitment is from around 8am Protected content .

There are also classes offered in the town, a few blocks from the town square. On Tuesdays and Thursdays there are afternoon sessions for young people and adults with two groups starting at 4pm and going until 7:30.
Then on Saturday mornings, there are four groups of children learners starting at around 7am, but volunteers can arrive at 8:30. The second group starts at 10 and goes until 12:30.
