The English Teaching Fellowship is a social initiative created by Heart for Change and the Colombian National Ministry of Education that seeks to bring qualified candidates to teach English in public educational institutions throughout the country in order to build a bilingual Colombia.
What are the benefits of the program? -Fellows will receive an ESL teaching certification upon completion of a training course before they begin their placement. -They will be working alongside experienced Colombian co-teachers as well as have a support system through a Regional Coordinator. -Participation in this program is free of cost, and also offers monthly stipend of $1'500,000 COP to each fellow. -The English Teaching Fellowship program offers a safe, supportive, and fun environment to immerse yourself in a new culture as well as the ability to learn and grow in professional and personal ways. -Live and work in a cross-cultural environment. -Learn and master Spanish. -Travel around Colombia: Amazons to the Andes and from the Pacific to Caribbean coast.
