French courses for adults in Bordeaux?

I am moving to Bordeaux in January for a year to learn French and would like to know whether there are government institutions for adults learning French, that I can do simultaneous to part-time work. In the UK we have ESOL courses which encourage expats to learn English, is there an equivalent programme in Bordeaux?
