Moving from Australia to France need some info (Bordeaux)

Hey me and my partner are thinking about moving to France and would like to know about international shipping and how much the customs charge in France to get a shipping container into France?

Is there any English speaking communities that are in Bordeaux or around that area?

What about finding a job ? I know it's better if a person can speak French but is there anything or any recruitment agencies that might look at a English speaking person.
