Boston Premiere-Film Documentary "Inside Buffalo"
on the occasion of "Black History Month Protected content , The Consulate General of Italy has the pleasure to offer at the Boston Public Library, on February 11th, the Massachusetts "Premiere" of the film documentary "Inside Buffalo", at the presence of the Italian director, Fred Kudjo Kuwornu.
"Inside Buffalo", an award winning feature film documentary, tells the story of the 92nd Buffalo Division, the all African American segregated combat unit that fought with outstanding heroism in Italy during World War II. The main content of Kuwornu's work are the stories about the segregation in the US Army, the friendship forged between African American soldiers and the Italian partisan fighters and villagers, as well as the discrimination the Buffalo soldiers suffered when they came back home. Therefore, the documentary recounts a critically important piece of African American history, placing it squarely within the context of civil rights history. The event is free and open to the public.
