PAID internship in marketing research (Boston)

Position Title: Marketing Research Intern
Reports To: Project Team and Managers

Position Overview:


The purpose of this position is to support the project needs and business objectives of Cogent Research.

The Intern is responsible for providing project support for various life cycle phases of custom and syndicated research design, delivery and marketing as well as ad hoc support of both qualitative and quantitative research projects.

Under the direction of project team members, responsibilities will include assisting with project administration, scheduling and tracking, secondary research, survey development and review, writing, editing and proofing of internal and external documents, and other tasks as needed.


Detailed Responsibilities:

Assist Project Directors with project administration, scheduling and tracking.
Conduct secondary research to support the proposal development process.
Assist both Project Directors and Data Analyst with survey design, questionnaire development, coding and related fieldwork (web surveys, phone surveys and focus groups).
Check data sets and cross-tabulations and conduct preliminary data analysis.
Write, edit and proof client deliverables as directed.
Prepare and review charts, graphs, PowerPoint slides and related research-based presentations.
Assist with the development of strategic recommendations based on analytic findings.
Under direction of the Marketing Manager, assist with the development, distribution and/or tracking of company collateral materials and marketing initiative.
Other duties as assigned by Cogent Research Management.

Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of SPSS is a plus. Education
Currently pursuing a graduate degree in marketing, business, social sciences, statistics or a related field.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week internship that will begin in mid-September and will run until mid-December. It pays a stipend of $3,000 for the 12-week program. International students who don’t have work authorization but would receive academic credit may be considered for an unpaid internship.
