Day trips from Brasilia

Hi there
I'm in Brasilia for a month for work and I'm keen to see a few things outside the city. Can anyone recommend good day trips to do on weekends that I could safely do on my own? ( I have access to a car). Or are there things anyone could recommend beyond the immediate tourist attractions within Brasilia?
