House Concert: Tanaman Dùl CD release (Brasilia)

House Concert is a monthly music series in the Lago Sul home of American violinist Ted Falcon and producer Sarah Pontes. For two years they have invited Brasília's best musicians to perform for intimate audiences for a modest fee. Comfortable seating, protection from the elements, subdued lighting and food, beer and wine provided by trucks make the environment lovely. The address is QI 29, Conj 7, Casa 15, Lago Sul.

Tonight (March 4, Protected content Dùl, a Brasília-based quintet, will officially release their eponymous CD and a new music video ("Sic a Parcel o' Rogues"). Their website is Protected content and they have a FB page -- /tanaman.dul.

For 6 years Tanaman Dùl has brought Irish music to audiences in Brazil and the United States, with a stage presence as engaging as the music. Their new CD, available on CD Baby, features 12 tracks that span the genres of drinking songs, ballads, jigs, rebel songs, sing-alongs, and more. The musicians are Jesse Wheeler, Marília Carvalho, Gaje Mansfield, Makoto Yamamoto and Diogo Vanelli, playing concertina, flute, mandolin, acoustic guitar, bodhrán, spoons, snare drum, stomp dog and more.

Time is 8 pm, cost is R$30, payable in cash at the door.
