medical insurance (Bristol)

Hello Everyone! I am a Canadian who will be moving to Bristol in September. I was just wondering what is the best way to go about getting medical insurance? I am planning on being in Bristol for at least a year if not more but if I get the insurance from Canada it is very expensive!
I also have an EU passport and I am a French citizen. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
If you could let me know how you all went about it that would be very helpful!
