Pet dog (Brunei)

Can anyone please give advice? I will be taking up a role in Bandar Seri Begawan in June 13, and would like very much to bring my pet dog out with me at a later date. How feasible is this, some questions I have are:
• Are there boarding kennels available
• Pet shops
• How difficult is it owning a small dog (local customs etc)
Any advice and info would be great.
