Commune and expats: an encounter - this Sunday (Brussels)

Dear expats,
do you know that in Belgium you have the possibility to vote at local elections if you are 18 years old or older resident in a Belgian municipality and
- a citizen of one of the Member States of the European Union
- a non-EU citizen living in Belgium for at least five years
You are one of them and you want to know how to have your say about local daily life: parking policy, waste, road construction, housing, parks, schools, culture, sport, security? You fancy connecting to local democracy and political process?
In other words, you’re interested in the municipal elections that will be held on October 14, Protected content ?
We want to hear about you, your needs, questions and worries and let you know everything about local politics! So feel free to join us at our first encounter on Sunday May 20 at the MR Surgery - Rue de la Montagne Protected content

Speakers:
- Vincent Laborderie, French expat living in Brussels, researcher in Political Science at the Université catholique de Louvain
- David Weytsman & Céline Vivier, former expats, MR candidates for local elections in the City of Brussels
