Expat Status (Brussels)

Hi Folks,

I am currently in Brussels on a secondment from my current employer working at client side. With mutual agreement my client is employing me directly.

I would like to know being hired directly in Belgium would I lose my Expat status. My center of interest lie outside Belgium in India. I came here in Aug'12 and since then have been under Special Tax regime where I was part of Indian Social Security.

I am afraid after reading through the information which states one of the criterias to get an Expat status as:
"The individual has been assigned to Belgium by a foreign group company
or has been recruited directly from abroad. The combination of the Belgian
expatriate tax regime with a local Belgian employment contract is possible."

I would appreciate a guidance in this respect. Thanks.
