Getting started with snooker (Brussels)

I am fascinated by snooker and watch it as much as I can. I tried to play the game a few times and realized that it is not as easy as it seems. However, I decided to learn to play snooker and am here seeking your advice as to how I should get started. If you have ideas to offer, I would be grateful.
