Nice communes/areas to live in (Brussels)

Hi everyone,

My name is Emma and I'll be moving to Brussels in November to start a new job. Very excited about the move - my next task is to find somewhere to live but I don't really know much about the pros/cons of each commune.

I've been doing some Google research but wanted to get some honest opinions from residents! I'll be working in the centre, near the EU institutions etc and would love to be able to walk to work in 15/20mins. Is there any area you recommend or anywhere I should avoid like the plague?!
