Hope to be moving to Budapest 6 months

Hello one and all
I am after some advice from you lovely people out there .
My wife who is a Hungarian national wishes to come home from London in approximately 6 months time. Not an issue for me as I love Budapest and owe it to her to give it a go living there .
My slight concern is the work. I am 43 , English speaking only and would appreciate any advice on the opportunities out there . Would it be a case of applying for teaching English as a foreign language . I appreciate the opportunities will be much harder but I am willing to give anything a go.
Also does anyone know is there a big English expat scene out there?? Somewhere where people go watch the games or just to catch up ??
