I wish i'd known before moving to Budapest

Dear everyone,

I am offered to transfer to Budapest this coming April for a couple of years. I've had my fair share of research from here and other sites and seems I'm on nearing to considering the place.

I know moving is always a learning curve, but it would be a good addition to learn from you all. If you have tips from choosing the apartment, to local grocers, safety, transportation... anything, please share. Especially from those who are non-EU countries, any limitations that hindered any process?
