M&A PE Associate UK Qualified 2-3 yrs PQE (Budapest)

The firm represents leading corporations, financial sponsors, financial institutions and governments in virtually every area of law that affects cross-border business, including transactions, arbitration and litigation. The firm has significantly increased its rankings in key league tables for legal advisors on M&A transactions in CEE/SEE, reaching the top spot for Eastern Europe. As a CEE leader with a significant and award winning Budapest office, you would be joining a pivotal advisory hub servicing the new M&A upsurge in the CEE/SEE region. To fit this team you should be UK qualified with a strong commercial background to be active in corporate and transactional work. You will have Protected content experience in a similar role. Top tier M&A experience essential, exposure to private equity is advantageous.
Your experience will have been gained from a leading law firm in a major market (in particular in London). Other locations can be considered as well given the relevant experience, deal exposure and top notch mentoring that this firm prioritizes as the criteria of choice. There is the possibility to consider an Australian qualified lawyer who worked in M&A/PE in Australia and will very shortly become UK qualified.
You should be able to demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. You will possess strong technical legal skills, particularly in drafting. You will commit to investing time and energy required to provide clients, Partners and senior lawyers in the team with a superior level of service.
Your fluency in written and spoken English is essential as you will regularly handle documentation in English.
