Travelling to Budapest for New year's eve

Good evening everybody!

I am travelling alone to Budapest for the first time to experience this lovely city and celebrate New Year.
As I am travelling alone I just wonder if someone could meet up for a coffee, give me some tips about places to visit, where to eat , and so on or just hang with me for a while.

I also wonder if there will be an event on the New year's Eve where I can participate cause I do not want to be alone on that night?
