Advice getting from Mendoza to Santiago mid July? (Buenos Aires)

I need to get a flight from Santiago to Peru on 18th July and am worried about buses being cancelled over the border from Mendoza to Santiago. Does anyone have any advice? Or is anyone doing that journey/know anyone who is doing that journey around that time who could possible squeeze someone else in?
Would be so grateful for any information!
