Are things THAT BAD? (Buenos Aires)

I'm moving to BsAs in December. I lived there once before, and I loved it. I have joined several expat sites so I can stay on top of what is going on down there and to determine what I need to do in order to have a successful transition. One thing that has alarmed me over the last month is an overwhelming sense of dread in terms of what is "about to happen" down there. What should I expect upon my arrival? Based on what I've been reading, inflation is getting out of control, new restrictions are being placed on people every day, and crime is rampant. I'm well aware that complaining about the government and crime is a bit of a national pastime down there. I come from Philly, so I know how to deal with criminals. I've already paid my money, so I'm headed that way no matter what, but am I going to end up returning to the states the first chance I get? I certainly hope not! I appreciate any feedback you all may have.
