Cost of Living (Buenos Aires)

Hola, fellow ex-pats! (Or in-pats, as the case may be...)

What's a reasonable amount of money, per month, I should have at my disposal for living in BA in the current economic situation +6 months? My basic requirements are a shared apartment situation, city center-ish; basic to good health insurance for one person; public transportation; mid-range health club; and enough spare change for occasional eating out and/or bar scene.

I'll be heading out to Argentina on a 6+ month sabbatical with US$ savings and the occasional EUR or US$-denominated freelance gig.

Any pointers greatly appreciated!
