Cost of Living (Buenos Aires)

Hi,

I am considering a move to Buenos Aires in the Spring, and am wondering what a reasonable monthly income is necessary to live there (in dollars). I am a single, 28 year old guy who works as a web designer. I don't need much in terms of luxury, but would like a decent studio or 1 bedroom apartment (with internet access), and enough money to go out on occasion, but I don't need to be out every night. I was looking at a few websites, and was finding studios for around $600 per month in what seem like nice areas. Is that realistic? I realize that this will vary wildly, but is anyone in a similar boat as me that can shed some light?
