American Planning July Visit to Cairo

Hello, I am an American who is planning a trip to Cairo at the beginning of July. I want to get a taste of what Ramadan and Eid in Egypt are like, do some sightseeing and visit a few places for possible employment. I am concerned about how to manage this trip as I do not speak Arabic, Would anyone be able to offer me suggestions for how I would be able to have a successful visit?
