Our next tour will be on the 12th of November Protected content . We shall be going to Damietta via San al Hagar (in Sharqia)…one of the most important pharaonic sites in the Delta.
We shall start early to be able to cover the sites and the route and enjoy the Nile way north…..

* SAN AL HAGAR “TANIS” “19TH LOWER EGYPTIAN NOME” Protected content Delta city of Tanis, modern San el-Hagar, was the Late Period capital of the 19th Lower Egyptian Nome, The city whose ancient name was Djanet (also called Suan – the biblical city of Zoan), was known as Tanis by the Greeks.
* Old Churches in Damietta / The Roman Orthodox Church: the 6th Century A.D “Christian alley” St. George Church: “Qism 4” from Protected content Virgin Mary Church : Protected content .
* Old Mosques / Amr Ibn El Ass Mosque : from the 7th Century Al Maeiny Mosque: Protected content “Mamluk Era Al Bahr Mosque: dating to the Ottoman rule era.
* Ras El Bar Island / You can enjoy: Lisan Area: Natural landmark. Ras-El Bar Light house. Touristic restaurants and nice view. Al Girby touristic area in Ras El Bar. El Nile St. in Ras El Bar.
