Discover Egypt (9)! (Cairo)

Dear Friends,

Next tour will take us through Cairo’s Middle Age. We are going to visit the Cemetery, where many people live on the graves today.

After visiting the sites there we shall move on to the Sultan Hassan Mosque and to Ibn Tulun Mosque. There we shall also walk through the Gayer Anderson Museum – to get an idea of how Egyptians lived in the Middle Age.

Taking a walk to the Blue Mosque and Al-Mardini Mosque to eventually reach the tent-makers market.

From there we shall move to the Khn El-Khalili Bazar to have lunch Naguib Mahfuz.
After lunch we shall walk up to the Bab al-Futuh and visit the Mosques, textile Museum and Bait as Suhaiymi as well as the Hakim bi-Amr Allah Mosque.

We shall be meeting in Zamalek in front of the Gezira Club at 8am on the 17th of October.
