Getting out of Egypt with an expired Visa (Cairo)

So we moved here to Egypt over a year and a half ago. I got my residency visa but they told me since my son was under 2 yrs old he didn't need one.
Its now time to move on from Egypt and to another country. My son is now almost 3 yrs old.
Do you think they will notice that his visa has expired? Do you think they will care? I have his birth certificate and obviously all other things that show I am his mom (so I'm not stealing him)...
Any suggestions?
