How to obtain a local Egyptian Driving Licence? (Cairo)

Hi there. I have a UK Driving Licence and was wondering if any of the expats here in Cairo have obtained a local Egyptian Driving Licence.
I am aware of the issues when driving in Cairo but I do need a car.
I would really appreciate your advice if you know how to do this, in particular, what sort of documents are required, where to go and how long it takes.
I must say that I have obtained a UAE driving licence from Dubai (valid for 10 years) back in Protected content took really 10 minutes - all I had to do then is show my UK passport, UK Driving Licence and the work Visa that was stamped on my passport.
Please do not suggest that I can drive on my UK Driving Licence as it is, I believe, illegal to do so.
