IT Systems Administrator Required (Cairo)
The company where I work is looking to fill the following position:
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for all aspects of systems administration including networks, applications, databases, and telecommunications. This includes implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures.
Creates customer profiles and accounts, monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage and tape backup systems.
Performs systems backups and recovery procedures.
Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems.
Maintains system documentation and logs.
Maintain network security authentication including VoIP security, application security.
Administer secure links with public key encryption, anti-virus, user authentication.
Provide monitoring and primary response and intervention for information technology related security incidents and violations.
Keep current with new security and network monitoring technologies, applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain Remote offices connection by keep the WAN up.
Handle firewall rules, network security and to monitor in real time for attacks so he can stop them as they take place.
Executes Troubleshooting methodology and root-cause analysis to resolve small to intermediate level problems.
Prepares and executes systems maintenance plans to proactively manage reliability and service expectations.
Responsible for upgrading, and managing OS’s on all production systems
Performs periodic reviews of Configuration Items (CIs) to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Perform thorough operational readiness activities.
Prepares and maintains technical documentation to assist with the on-going operation, maintenance, and development of the enterprise services.
Performs configuration management activities to manage work instructions and implement configuration changes following agreed procedures.
Provides access control services to fulfil client request requirements
Closes Problem records within defined timeline threshold to minimize impact on client / outage.
Provides timely and frequent technical updates to customers, delivery and capability management.
Undertake other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Company.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field.
Enterprise Advanced Certifications a plus: MCSE, MCTS, MCITP or VCP
Good Knowledge in Active directory, Exchange Server, ISA Server.
3-5 Years of experience in technical capability.
Experience in Network Technologies (switching and routing designs) and Security Technologies (firewall, IDS, IPS, content filtering and log services) and Voice Technologies (IP Telephony and Unified Communication).
Hands on experience with any of the following vendors (Juniper - CISCO - Palo Alto - Citrix - HP)
Good command of English language.
