Might move to Cairo, having questions...

Hi, I have been to Cairo couple of times for long stay (1 month), went through lots of stuff there though I've been to so many places in the world before from Europe and Australia till Nigeria and Bangladesh... So, I wonder - how to connect to local expat community in Maadi? Is there any families with small kids living in the area. Where to find safe green areas (parks, clubs, play grounds?). How to drive? How other foreigners adjust to that style of driving, is it possible?! How is your life there, where do you go, what is best area to live again in terms of any green (I know how scarce is it there), any safe parks (not too dirty). Did you learn arabic while living there (I mean did you need it or felt fine with English)? Thanks for any answers.
